Masters Festival 2026 - Music and Scene in Transformation
Sonntag, 28.06. | 20:00 | Gare du Nord
First performed in Rome in 1600, this Emilio de’ Cavalieri’s work is considered one of the earliest operatic creations, centered on the conflict between Soul and Body as they face temptation and search for a meaningful way of living. While rooted in sacred allegory, this staging reimagines the piece through a contemporary lens, exploring identity, inner pressure, purpose, and the struggle to stay connected to oneself in a chaotic world.
