Indian Music

In this course you will learn traditional melodies and compositions. Through learning by ear and imitation, you will discover the melodic and rhythmic structures of Indian music.
You have the opportunity to learn music on the sarod (Indian lute), on your own western instrument, or in vocal lessons.
The sarod is a fretless lute with a sound rich in overtones. It is one of the mainstringed instruments of North Indian classical music.
The body of the instrument is made of a single piece of wood (tun or teak) and the soundboard is made of goatskin.

At the request of the students, Indian music will be connected to Western music.

Teaching language: english, german, french

when to begin?

Indian music can be learned from the age of 5. Teenagers and adult beginners are very welcome. A sarod, also in children's size, can be rented on request.
